Cheltenham Clues – Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle

The Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle on November 11 gave us some good form clues.

Hermes Allen proved that he is a top performer by winning the Grade 2 Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle on November 11 at Cheltenham. He accelerated away to win by a nine-length margin.

The six-year-old horse trained by Paul Nicholls has since won a Grade 1 race with a similarly straightforward Challow Hurdle victory. As a result, he is trading at the best price of 11-4 for the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle. He must go to Cheltenham with strong claims that he will keep his hurdle record unbeaten.

Other eyecatchers stars of the race:

Third-place finisher Weveallbeencaught, who was initially outpaced but made a strong finish, was the race’s star. Since then, he has won a maiden hurdle back at Cheltenham and appears to be begging for the 3m jump. In the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle, the six-year-old horse is certain to be a popular each-way angle.

Collectors Item has since finished close in the Grade 2 Prestige Novices’ Hurdle and may also be a live outsider in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle, despite the fact that the remainder were ultimately held fairly well.
